Hugh Randall is a 30-something boy living in Chicago, Illinois. Currently, Hugh is working on his first novel, which explores knowledge, "truth" and understanding through the eyes of a history Ph.D. as he struggles with both his academic research as well as events from his recent past. His (academic) work has previously appeared here, here and here.

Prior to his arrival in Chicago, Hugh spent five years working at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Program Manager in the Sloan School of Management. Hugh also served time as a graduate teaching associate at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio as well as Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan while working on graduate degrees in American History.

When he's not hard at work, Hugh distracts himself with travel, photography, golf, ice hockey (both playing and watching) and soccer. In a former life, he won five recreational soccer championships - both indoor and outdoor - with his Boston teammates between the fall of 2008 and winter of 2012. He also appeared as an extra on an episode of NBC's hit drama "Chicago Fire." Sort of.
